Pirate X Pirate (PXP) is a blockchain currency used to buy-sell-trade NFT products such as Ships and Crews. GOLD is the in-game currency that will be awarded to players who play the game.
The game will be providing several means of playing and also different modes players can engage in to get rewards for winning. Below are the Game modes Featured in the Pirate X Pirate game.
Game Modes
The following are the various game modes available in the Pirate X Pirate game:
Quest
The Quests mode is the first to be introduced in the game. Quests are similar to staking NFTs to receive prizes, but with a theme. In this game style, players can select a Quest, deploy a ship, assign a crew, and claim the rewards earned when a certain amount of time has passed.
Initially, the payouts will be mere $GOLD. After the crafting is available, materials will be added to the rewards.
To begin the mission, you must have at least one ship, one captain, and two crew members.
Each play of the PVP requires 1 Supply. Each ship can hold a maximum of 3 Supplies.
To replenish the supply, that ship can be sent on a quest. The quest require 1 Captain and 2 Crewmates. This will replenish the ship’s supply to a maximum of 3.
The ship will receive the supply at the moment the quest start. After each PVP match, your reward will come in form of a completed quest, under the PVP section.
- If you win, you stand to gain PVP: 320 Gold
- And if you lose, you get PVp:120 Gold
The reward can be claimed after five days.
PVE and PVP
You will be able to set sail to a treacherous ocean full of foes once your fleet is ready. You can engage in warfare with your fellow pirates (PVP). For rewards, you can also combat hostile monsters hidden across the map (PVE).
This fight will be very different from Quest. The game is a dice war with turns. It is not random, despite the use of dice. As will be discussed further below, players have a certain amount of control over each round of combat. The battles are fought using a turn-based, dice-rolling method. The following steps are taken for each turn:
Dice
One single ship will have a total of six dice. Each dice will have the faces of Cannon (Attack), Ship’s Wheel (Maneuverability), Hammer (Heal, Defend), Keg (Status Effects), Skull (Status Effects), and Skull (Status Effects) (Wild, Special).
Each turn starts with both players’ Roll Phase.
In this phase, you roll your six dice. And then they can be re-rolled two more times. However, you can choose to Lock the dice you want to keep during those re-rolls.
The strategy is to look at the skill you want to use first and see which dice you prefer to keep to activate such skills.
Skill Phase
With the dice from Roll Phase, you choose the Skill you want to activate in this Skill Phase. More than one Skill can be selected if there are enough dice.
Each ship part will provide unique skills. A skill will require a certain number of faces from the rolled dice to activate.
Battle Phase
After both players have confirmed the skills, Battle Phase will commence. All the Skills will be resolved by order of their speed (not in this demo version). Then the turn ends. The phase will go back to Roll Phase, where both players roll the dice again.
