“How to play Splinterlands on android phones” has been a trending question on most game lovers’ lips and today, we’ll be putting an end to that question as I will be giving a complete guide on how to download the game on your android devices, how to play it, and also how to earn while playing. So without further Ado, grab your popcorns, and let’s roll.

What Is Splinterland?

Splinterlands is a play-to-earn, NFT digital collectible card game built on the Hive blockchain technology that allows users to play and earn rewards based on certain in-game achievements, such as winning skill-based matches and player-versus-player game modes.

The concept is similar to Magic the Gathering and Hearthstone in that you build up cards, each with their own abilities and stats, that you use to battle other players in skill-based battles. On the blockchain, players can trade, buy, and sell their items in the same way that physical collectible cards can.

Unlike Axie Infinity’s cutesy, Pokemon-inspired monsters, this game features a polished collection of hundreds of cards with great-looking artwork that can compete with physical trading card games. The battle system is quick, and you can either speed up or jump into the results. It, too, has an Android and iOS version, just like Axie Infinity so you can conveniently play on your mobile device.

How To Download Splinterland On Android

Downloading the Splinterlands game on your android devices can be very easy but that’s only when you know the right moves to make.
You can download the Splinterlands game on the Google Playstore simply by following these easy steps.

  • Go to the Google Playstore app on your android device
  • Tap on the search bar and type “Splinterlands”
  • When you find the game, click on “Install” and the game will be downloaded right to your phone. But if you’re still unable to download, CLICK HERE

How To Play Splinterlands On Android

There are two different ways you can access the Splinterlands game on your android devices:

  • You can access the game by simply heading over to https://m.splinterlands.io/ on your mobile web browser.
  • Another way is to download the game on the App Store. (Apple App Store for iOS devices and Google Play Store for Android devices)

If your account was created with an email address then you can log in with the email address and password combination that you set up when you created your account. Otherwise, you will need to log in with your Hive account name and private posting key.

After downloading the app or accessing the game via your web browser, you can follow these few steps to start playing:

  • Sign up for Splinterlands (You can do it two ways: By signing up via email, and/or connecting your crypto wallet into the game – Hive Keychain, Wax, Wombat, Metamask, and Arkane Network all work so if you have any of these wallets, simply click on the appropriate button and you’re all set).
  • Click “Create Account”
  • Enter your email address twice.
  • You will receive a confirmation in your email along with instructions on the next step.
  • This would include instructions for setting up your Hive wallet.

What do I need to get started?

  • A mobile device and internet connection

  • A Hive account and Hive KeyChain

  • $10 for a Spellbook

    • While you can play the game for free at first, you won’t be able to save your progress as a player or build your own card collection unless you have a Spellbook. You cannot earn NFT tokens (Dark Energy Crystals) by fighting other players or completing daily quests. You will not receive any season rewards (chests awarded at the end of each season). Finally, you cannot purchase or rent additional cards.

Optional:

  • Credits – You can purchase Credits using PayPal or Cryptocurrency and use them to buy or rent cards.

  • DEC – Dark Energy Crystals (DEC) is the game token you earn from battles and daily quest rewards. This is the primary currency of the game.

  • SPS – Splinterlands Shards (SPS) is the governance token in this game. SPS token holders can stake their assets in-game to further increase the amount of SPS they hold.

Splinterlands Game Modes

Splinterlands features four different game modes. Each one is useful in different situations, and you should definitely try them all. Whether you’re looking to build a new deck, test a strategy, or compete against others in a tournament format, the game has more than enough game modes to keep you entertained.

Ranked Battles

Play against other people. The goal is to gain experience by winning matches and progress through the league tiers until you reach the highest level (if you want). As you progress through the leagues, you will receive more DEC rewards for each battle won, as well as larger loot chests at the end of the season.

Practice Mode

This mode allows you to practice team formation before engaging in ranked battles. I like to think of this mode as the game’s “deck builder,” as it allows me to experiment with different combinations and strategies before putting them to the test in a battle.

Challenge Mode

You can create a custom battle with a friend. This has no effect on your leaderboard rankings. This could be a good way to stress test a specific deck because you can do it with a friend and both of you can analyze all kinds of strategies without worrying about ranks or points.

Tournament

Every day, there are multiple tournaments sponsored, and the majority of them are open to anyone to run and participate in. It costs a certain amount of DEC to join. This is a great mode to try if you want to experience a tourney-style exhibition. Furthermore, if you place high enough in the final ladder results, you can earn a significant amount of DEC.

It might be a good idea to look through the cards section to learn how to “read” the card stats. This is critical because your strategy will revolve around combining monsters to find the best combination for a specific fight.

How Tom Earn On Splinterlands

Splinterlands, unlike other newer NFT games with only 1-2 actual Play-to-earn mechanics, offers up to 5 ways to earn money while playing the game:

Daily Quests

Daily quests are refreshed every day after they are completed. These are simply battles that must be won under specific conditions.

Battle Rewards

When you defeat another player, you are rewarded with Dark Energy Crystals. The amount you’ll receive will take into account your Energy Capture Rate (ECR) at the time of your win. The ECR restricts the amount of DEC a player can earn from each battle. Assume your prize is 5 DEC if you win. You’ll get the full 5 DEC at 100% ECR. If it falls below 50% (for example, after a series of battles), you will only receive 2.5 DEC.

Selling & Renting Out Your Cards

You can buy or rent summoner and monster cards in this game (individually or as card packs). You can also win them as a reward for completing your daily quests. As you accumulate more cards, you can earn money by selling them, just like in a real trading card game.

You can also rent them out to other players and earn credits or DEC based on how long they rent it from you. Of course, because these cards are NFTs in the blockchain, true ownership of these digital assets is possible.

Your DEC earnings can be withdrawn to your Hive, Steem, Tron, Ethereum, or Binance Smart Chain (BSC) wallets.

Stake and Earn from SPS

You can stake your SPS tokens in this game to multiply their value by the game’s current APR. As of this writing, the game is also offering daily Airdrop rewards, which are determined by factors such as your current DEC holdings, card power, and other factors.

Win Prizes in Tournaments

The game allows players to organize tournaments across multiple leagues. Each one has a DEC entry fee and allows you to win a significant amount of DEC based on your rankings.

Conclusion

For context, Splinterlands is a collectible card game (CCG) built on the Hive blockchain. The game, formerly known as Steem Monsters, is played as a one-on-one battle between teams of monsters.

Players assemble decks of cards, each with its own set of stats and abilities. These cards are used to compete with other players. There are 249 unique Monsters and 40 unique Summoners at the time of writing, with more cards planned.

So there you have it. I believe after reading this article, how to play Splinterlands on android devices wouldn’t be an issue anymore. Kindly leave a comment if this article was helpful.
